Psoriasis
The Problem
Bill is a 59-year-old male who suffered from psoriasis. He had peeling and cracking on his hands and feet. His liver enzymes were extremely elevated and he complained of pain behind his sternum that he believed was related to digestion (it coincided with eating). His bowel movements were also not optimal.
The Solution
I ran a gut health test to look at his microbiome and an Organic Acid Test (OAT). A number of markers were found to be out of range. His gut was imbalanced and dysbiotic. I used a combination of anti-microbials, prebiotics, probiotics and topicals to help re-balance his gut, normalize his liver enzymes and return his skin to a much healthier appearance.
The Result
Bill reported feeling good by the time of our last consult. The pain behind his sternum was gone and his psoriasis significantly improved. He was eating much better and had greater control over his body.
Eczema
The Problem
Ana developed Eczema all over her body when she was 6 months old. Her parents eliminated gluten and dairy with little change. Her stools were like cake batter. Her skin was itchy, dry and scaly. She was unable to wear certain clothes because of the discomfort. Her parents were using various soaps they found online sold for Eczema and a gut nutrients powder, but not seeing any improvement.
The Solution
We did a mycotoxin, gut health and Organic Acids Test (OAT) and found candida/yeast, mycotoxins and dysbiosis. Over the next several months, I introduced Ana to certain supplements and topicals. The family also implemented a number of dietary changes that greatly diversified her intake of gut boosting fibers and polyphenols.
The Result
Ana saw vast improvements in her skin and was now able to wear many different styles of clothes comfortably. Her parents were very happy with her progress and are continuing with many of the recommended products.
