Brain Chemistry Imbalances
The Problem
Jahna, aged 10, suffers from inattention and difficulty getting her schoolwork done. She has a tic where she blinks her eyes a lot. She’s also nervous, lacks confidence and is underweight. Her fatigue levels are greater than normal.
The Solution
I ran a Hair Trace Mineral Analysis (HTMA) along with a test to assess her neurotransmitter pathways. It was discovered that she has several imbalances that caused her brain chemistry to become very imbalanced. She experienced too much excitatory activity which led to the depletion of dopamine. A loss of this key neurotransmitter leads to an inability to focus. Over several months, Jahna’s minerals were brought into balance. I also spoke with mom about how to expand her diet and incorporate new and healthy foods.
The Result
By the end of our time together, Jahna was gaining healthy weight, paying better attention in school and had more confidence. Her tics were gone!
ADHD
The Problem
Landon is a 14-year-old boy who suffers from ADHD and a lack of motivation. His parents tried him on different ADHD medications, but they made him anxious and argumentative with his friends. They wanted to try a more natural approach.
The Solution
Landon did a genetic and Hair Trace Mineral Analysis. The parents also provide me with bloodwork. I discovered that Landon had some key nutrient deficiencies that are often missed by standard blood tests. He also required some adrenal support that helped improve his energy and focus. We discussed some innovative strategies to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into his diet.
The Result
Soon after working together, Landon made great strides with his focus and motivation. He even took the initiative to try out for his high school track team.
